The world is going crazy for deals, so why wouldn’t HTC want to get in on the fun with a price reduction for its HTC 10 smartphone. Any time before now, you’d have laid down $700 for an unlocked HTC 10, but from July 12 until July 31 you’ll only spend $600, a sizeable $100 saving over the usual price.
That’s a great deal on perhaps one of the more overlooked flagship smartphones of 2016. However, HTC’s not finished yet. It’s also adding in free uh-oh protection, which is HTC’s stupidly named warranty, that’s way more beneficial than the name may suggest. If you break the screen, of send the HTC 10 to a watery grave, then the company will replace it for free.
Amazingly, HTC’s still not done. Once you’ve bought the HTC 10 and you’re armed with proof of purchase, then HTC will give you $100 credit towards accessories you buy from a supporting retailer or outlet. Just to recap. That’s $100 off the HTC 10, $100 of credit towards some accessories, and a free replacement if you do something silly with it between now and this time next year. Not bad at all.
Should you buy it? We rated it highly in our review, noting its gorgeous design and fast fingerprint sensor, plus the stunning 5.2-inch 2560 x 1440 pixel screen. A Snapdragon 820 with 4GB of RAM provides the power, and Android 6.0 is installed with only minimal interference from HTC. Oh, and did we mention how good it looks? Get this phone in your hand, and you won’t want to put it down.
To get the offer from HTC you’ll need to buy the phone unlocked through HTC.com, where you can choose the exclusive carbon grey color scheme instead of the usual silver. The unlocked model will work with AT&T and T-Mobile, or there’s a version for Verizon and Sprint available too. The promotion will end on July 31.
