The best OnePlus 7 Pro screen protectors

The OnePlus 7 Pro packs a powerful octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and a stunning Full HD AMOLED display. Clearly, there’s a lot of flashy hardware within this flagship Android device.

To help you take better care of your OnePlus 7 Pro, we’ve picked some of our favorite screen protectors. Not only will they improve the appearance and feel of your phone by removing fingerprints and oils, but they’ll provide the phone’s glass surface with an extra layer of protection.

Whitestone Dome Glass Screen Protector

The OnePlus 7 Pro is a premium smartphone, so you should pair it with premium accessories. If you’re looking for the best fitting and durable screen protector, then the Whitestone Dome Glass is the way to go. While the UV light installation process is unlike any other, the outcome is a layer of tempered glass that sits flush along the curved edges of your OnePlus 7 Pro. Instead of the typical adhesive you’d find on the edges of screen protectors, the Whitestone Dome uses a liquid solution that solidifies itself with the UV lamp. The solution also works to fill in any existing scratches and scuffs to create a smooth texture throughout your display. You’re getting high-quality glass protection, and you’re still able to use your in-display optical fingerprint scanner.

Uponew Privacy Screen Protector

Let’s be honest, no one feels comfortable when the person next to them is staring at their smartphone. Whether you’re scrolling through your Instagram feed or checking bank statements, you should be the one deciding who can view your content. Enter Uponew’s Privacy Screen Protector. The layer of tempered glass is tinted just enough so that what’s on your smartphone can only be seen when facing directly in front of it. Besides the unique functionality, the screen protector will keep your OnePlus 7 Pro free of scratches and scuffs. Included in the package are two screen protectors so you can always swap them after some wear and tear.

RhinoShield Impact Flex Protector

Known for its bumper-style cases, RhinoShield also makes great screen protectors for the front and back of smartphones. For starters, the RhinoShield Impact Flex Protector is a film protector, so while it doesn’t give you the same durability as tempered glass, it will latch onto your OnePlus 7 Pro much tighter and won’t be easily lifted. Once installed, the Impact Flex screen protector simulates the same texture and feeling as the glass panel underneath. Featuring shock-damping material and a layer of oleophobic coating, the screen protector is a worthy alternative to the traditional tempered glass.

IQShield Liquid Shield

While we recommend tempered glass for the top level of protection, there are definitely merits to the humble film screen protector too. IQShield’s Liquid Shield is flexible and thin, so it can wrap around the curves of your OnePlus 7 Pro without adding additional width to the display. It has four layers, with coatings to protect from UV yellowing, an adhesive bottom liner for a strong bond between the protector and your device, and various other protective layers. While tempered glass should be your protector of choice if you want to guard against drops and other heavy-duty damage, this film screen protector adds additional protection against scratches and dirt, won’t break the bank, and won’t add the same additional thickness as glass. You get two in the pack.

Ivso Ultra-Thin Tempered Glass Screen Protector

If you want additional protection from drops, bumps, and scratches, then a glass screen protector is absolutely the way forward. Ivso’s Ultra-Thin Tempered Glass Screen Protector is made from tempered glass, and has been rated to 9H, making it hard enough to resist scratches from most materials. It covers the OnePlus 7 Pro from edge to edge, and Ivso claims it doesn’t reduce the screen’s sensitivity or image clarity. There’s even an oleophobic coating built into the glass, so it’ll resist oil from your fingers and allow water to bead straight off the display. It’s also compatible with the OnePlus 7 Pro’s fingerprint sensor, and measures just 0.26 mm thin.

Olixar Film Screen Protector

Olixar is making a name for itself as a manufacturer of great accessories for a big range of devices, and it’s offering a pair of film screen protectors for the OnePlus 7 Pro. Like the previous film options, Olixar’s Film Screen Protector won’t offer as much protection against drops and bumps as glass, but it’s great at defending against scratches, dirt, and fingerprints. Like most film protectors, it’s incredibly thin, so you’ll probably forget it’s on once it’s applied, and Olixar claims it doesn’t reduce screen clarity or sensitivity. As mentioned, it’s a double pack for added value, and it’s easy to apply. Unlike glass protectors though, you’ll have to watch out for air bubbles.

Skinomi MatteSkin Anti-Glare Screen Protector

The OnePlus 7 Pro has a fantastic display, and it gets extremely bright. But glare from direct sunlight can still be very annoying, and if you’re often outside you might benefit from a screen protector designed to cut down on glare. Skinomi’s MatteSkin Anti-Glare Screen Protector is made from flexible film that protects well against scratches, dirt, and fingerprints — but the headline feature is its matte coating. That coating doesn’t impact screen clarity, but it does reduce the amount of sunlight that bounces from your shiny screen, reducing glare. It comes in a twin pack, so you have a spare, and it’s pretty cheap too.

Owners of the OnePlus Watch 2 are about to receive a new software update that will improve the smartwatch in one key way. The OHealth v4.21.5 update adds a data migration feature that allows switching phones without losing health data, which wasn't possible previously. Android Authority first spotted the update.

Google's Wear OS 4 launched with the new data migration feature. However, it wasn't available on the OnePlus Watch 2 until now. Once you install the update, you can see a new option called "Migrate data" in the profile settings. To use this new tool, your old and new phones must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. You will also need to scan a QR code to initialize the migration process. If you are logged into the OHealth app, make sure that you sign in to the same account on both devices before migrating the data.
