How to cheese the Garden Of Salvation Consecrated Mind Boss in Destiny 2

It was only a matter of time — players have learned how to cheese the Garden of Salvation Consecrated Mind Boss in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep. Unfamiliar with the term “cheese”? Here’s a quick history lesson.

Since its launch, Destiny players have gone to great lengths to exploit the game’s hardest challenges. Crafty Guardians have figured out ways to solo entire raids and kill challenging bosses without breaking a sweat. That time-honored tradition has once again returned in Shadowkeep, as players have already figured out a way to defeat the game’s Consecrated Mind boss with just one well-placed grenade.

It’s likely that Bungie will patch this out, but if you’re looking to give it a try before then, here’s how you can defeat this poor raid boss in the most Looney Tunes fashion possible.

There’s a little bit of setup required here. To start, make sure you have a Hunter on your team. Set your subclass to Nightstalker and set your skill tree so that you have Smoke Grenades equipped. Then you’ll have to complete the first 2 phases of the encounter, basically chasing him through the raid like normal until his big health bar finally appears at the bottom of the screen.

Here’s where things get fun. Usually, you need to split up into teams, with one team chasing the Consecrated Mind through narrow hallways. Instead, you can kill him right away with a well placed grande. In the big room where the fight starts, you’ll see a bunch of paths which the boss can travel down, one of which contains a big pit. As the Consecrated Mind starts heading to that hallway, your Hunter will need to throw their smoke grenade near the pillar that’s in front of that path.

There’s a bit of RNG to contend with here, but if everything goes right, the Consecrated Mind will pass over your smoke grenade and get confused. The boss will head down the hallway to escape the grenade and plummet into the pit like Wile E. Coyote.

You’ll still need to do some work here to actually complete the fight, as the game won’t register that the Consecrated Mind is dead until you progress forward to the actual damage phase (which will be much easier now that you’ve dropped the Consecrated Mind into an abyss). Once you hit that, the game will declare the boss dead and you’ll finish the encounter without firing a single shot at the boss.

If this all sounds familiar, it’s because Destiny 1’s Vault of Glass raid also had a similar exploit, which allowed players to bully the mighty Atheon off a cliff with some persistent grenade tosses. So enjoy this little moment of unintentional comedy while you can, as it’s sure to go in the Destiny Cheese Hall of Fame right next to the Loot Cave.

Destiny 2 studio Bungie hit by layoffs, internal game delays
A runner runs in Marathon.

Amid a wave of layoffs at Destiny developer and Sony subsidiary Bungie this week, Destiny 2: The Final Shape and Marathon have both reportedly been delayed.
On Monday morning, tweets from developers revealed that Bungie, which was acquired by Sony in January 2022, was suffering layoffs. This was followed up by a report from Bloomberg that went into more detail about the layoffs and their impact on Bungie's future games. Sony and Bungie have not officially commented on the delays yet, although the Bloomberg article mentions that Bungie CEO Pete Parsons will hold a team meeting later today to discuss the layoffs further. This all follows contractor layoffs at Sony studio Naughty Dog earlier this month, which happened as that studio struggles to develop and release a The Last of Us multiplayer game.

Bloomberg suggests that these layoffs, like others at Sony this year, are tied to internal game delays. While Destiny 2: The Final Shape is publicly slated to come out in February 2024, Bungie reportedly told staff that it's now going to come out in June 2024. Meanwhile, we learned that Bungie's revival of Marathon was apparently targeting a 2024 launch -- although no release window was given officially -- but will now come out sometime in 2025. These delays make the PlayStation 5's 2024 game lineup look pretty sparse right now outside of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and it suggests that Destiny 2's next season will be one of its longest.
As of now, Sony and Bungie have not publicly commented on the layoffs or delays, but we will update this post when they do say more about it.

All stash locations in Alan Wake 2 and how to open them
Alan drenched in green light in Alan Wake 2.

FBI agent Saga Anderson and her partner, Alex Casey, are called into Bright Falls to investigate a murder committed by a strange group calling themselves the Cult of the Trees. These dangerous cultists are your main enemy in Alan Wake 2, and they put up quite a fight despite mostly using basic tools as weapons. They seem mindless and primitive, but the fact that they have a series of Cultist Stashes hidden all around the world suggests otherwise. These treasure troves are very well hidden, and they're protected with a small puzzle to try and prevent those who may stumble upon one from grabbing all the goodies inside. You'll find yourself short on supplies essentially all the time in Alan Wake 2, so scooping up some extra ammo and batteries is always welcome. Here is where you can find all the Cultist Stashes in Alan Wake 2 and how to open them.
All Cultist Stash locations
There are a total of 21 Cultist Stashes to find and unlock in Alan Wake 2. Each zone has its own set to find, and they all have different puzzles you need to solve to open them. None are missable, but some can't be obtained until you make story progress or get specific tools.
Bright Falls Cult Stashes

The first Cult Stash you can find comes as soon as you reach the town of Bright Falls for the first time. Instead of going straight to your destination down the block, turn around and head toward the dead end. Behind the truck will be a big locked box. To open this one, all you need to do is play a little game of Simon Says. The keypad will flash three buttons in a sequence that you simply need to repeat to open the box and grab the loot.

How to change suits in Spider-Man 2
Spider-Man soars through the air in a biomechanical suit in Marvel's Spider-Man 2.

Everyone knows the iconic Spider-Man suit. The red-and-blue spandex uniform has been iterated on and altered hundreds of times over the course of decades, leading to some similar and some very different designs. Spider-Man 2 introduces Venom and the symbiote suit to the mix as a plot point, but there are almost 70 total suits from various comics, shows, and movies to unlock and wear between Peter pParker and Miles Morales. Unlocking them is one thing, but changing between them, and their new styles, is another. With this guide, you will be able to change your spider style as fast as our heroes when duty calls.
How to change suits

Once you've snagged your first additional suit and used some Tokens to unlock it, changing between them is a breeze. Simply open your menu, go to the Suits tab, and highlight the one you want to wear. If you want to switch between Peter and Miles, simply hit L2 or R2 to cycle between the Spider-Men since each has their own unique set of suit options. Press X on the suit you want to wear and -- bam! -- your Spider-Man is now decked out in a new style. However, that's not all. Many suits have additional styles you can unlock by spending some Tech Parts. These give you three additional color options for that specific suit to further customize your look.
