If you’re the type of person who wants to listen to your favorite tunes in style, the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H4
Design is undoubtedly Bang & Olufsen’s strongest suit and so it is no surprise that the Beoplay H4 look stunning. Each earcup has a disc of anodized aluminum with the B&O logo emblazoned on it. The cups are padded with memory foam and are covered in soft lambskin leather, which not only exudes luxury but feels super comfy as well. Furthermore, the cups swivel and fold flat, making these headphones sit around your neck comfortably when you’re not wearing them. They don’t fold up though and don’t come with a carrying case, which is kind of disappointing for a $180 pair of
Bang & Olufsen seems to think that having too many buttons would affect the sleek appearance of the Beoplay H4. Thus, the single multifunction button is responsible for track control, pairing, and turning the device on and off. A long press shuts the headphones down or powers them up. Shorter taps pause, resume, and skip tracks. Frankly, this aesthetic decision is a bit impractical and is going to take time to get used to. B&O could have assigned some of the other functions to the volume buttons. It is also a little frustrating that these
When it comes to performance, these headphones offer truly impressive sound. The bass is superbly punchy and tight, perhaps even overpowering at times, and the higher registers are far from flat. Luckily, you can customize the sound by selecting a preset profile on the Beoplay app. Lastly, battery life is impressive at 19 hours long on a single charge. If these

BANG & OLUFSEN BEOPLAY E8 TRUE WIRELESS EARBUDS
– $239, was $350
Just like the Beoplay H4, the Beoplay E8 2.0s are incredibly good-looking. These earbuds look exactly like the first generation of the E8. They are still really tiny and are made entirely of plastic, with the B&O logo printed on the exterior. The buds offer a secure in-ear fit that provides excellent passive noise isolation, making them perfect for commuters. Then we have the gorgeous charging case: It is pill-shaped and is no bigger than a matchbox, covered in genuine leather. The case now has a USB Type-C charging port, ensuring faster charging, and can provide about four hours of playback for each full charge.
The biggest change on the Beoplay E8 2.0 is their improved signal strength and connectivity. While the original version sounded great, it took multiple attempts for them to pair via Bluetooth, repeatedly rejecting pairing requests. Another issue with version 1.0 is they would occasionally stop working for no apparent reason and you’ll be forced to perform a hard reset. Thankfully, these problems are no longer present on the E8 2.0s. These buds now pair seamlessly with any device on the first attempt, and there are almost no signal dropouts. We did, however, experience some dropouts in places where there are lots of people, which is understandable as pretty much any wireless set is prone to signal interference.
In terms of sound quality, the Beoplay E8 2.0s are impressive for truly wireless earbuds. Songs sound rich and textured regardless of what genre you listen to, with an incredible amount of detail and subtleness left intact. Drum-heavy songs sound rightfully punchy, while more delicate music is a delight to listen to.
The second generation of Bang and Olufsen’s Beoplay E8 are very stylish, offer improved Bluetooth connectivity, and most importantly, sound superb. The touch controls are a little awkward to operate, but other than that these are excellent truly wireless earbuds that are worth their premium price tag. You can purchase them on Amazon for an enormous $111 off. Normally worth $350, you can now get your own for $239.
