Everything leaving Hulu in June 2024

Robert Pattinson in The Batman.
Warner Bros. Pictures

By now, Hulu subscribers are used to the idea of movies coming and going at seemingly random intervals. We’ve lost track of how many times the Die Hard films have departed and returned (they’ll all be gone from Hulu again at the end of June). It’s more intriguing to see movies that you wouldn’t expect on Hulu, like The Batman and Joker, both of which are making brief appearances this month.

While Max has seemingly abandoned the idea of letting subscribers know which films are departing at the end of any given month, Hulu is very upfront about it. That gives you, and all of the other the Hulu subscribers, ample opportunities to catch your favorite movies before they leave. The only thing that you have to do is make time to watch them. If you go through our list of everything leaving Hulu in June 2024, then getting a viewing plan together should be the easy part. Our favorite picks for the month are in bold.

This is also a great time to consider the Disney Bundle, which gets you Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+ for just $14 per month. That’s basically like getting all three services, but only paying for two of them, and it’s pretty tough to beat. It’s also a great way to make sure you don’t miss anything on any of these services.

Trying to catch all the best films and shows before they become unavailable at the end of the month? Check our other monthly roundup of everything leaving Netflix.

It’s almost impossible to not appreciate the irony of DC’s flagship superhero, Batman, appearing on Hulu – and by extension, Hulu on Disney+ – in his most recent movie. But don’t get too used to having The Batman around. This film is only on loan from Warner Bros. for 30 days. After that, it’s probably going back to Tubi or some other streamer beyond Max. Robert Pattinson steps into the title role as a younger and angrier Bruce Wayne than we’re used to seeing on the big screen.

Director Matt Reeves deliberately set the story early in Batman’s career, when gangsters like Carmine Falcone (John Turturro) still ruled Gotham City. And then Riddler (Paul Dano) comes along and kicks over the proverbial apple cart as he exposes Gotham’s dirtiest secrets to bring down the corrupt. If Riddler wasn’t also a serial killer, he might have more in common with Batman. Instead, the young Dark Knight will have to make his stand against the Riddler’s forces. He just won’t have to do it alone.

3 underrated Netflix movies you should watch this weekend (June 28-30)
netflix underrated movies watch june 28 30 2024 unbroken 3

Emotions are running high in America. No, I'm not talking about politics; I'm talking about Inside Out 2. The Pixar animated movie about the inner life of a pre-teen's emotions has reigned supreme in June, grossing so much ,money that it's already on the list of the 10 most successful animated movies ever.

Not everyone is interested in that movie, or another Bad Boys sequel, or even The Bikeriders. There are those who prefer to stay home and see what's on Netflix. But instead of watching the dreadful Jessica Alba action flick Trigger Warning, try these three older movies that are almost as good, if not better, than what you can find at the movie theater.

Daniel Radcliffe and Ciran Hinds in The Woman in Black.

One of the best streaming platforms for all things horror is Amazon Prime Video. Home to hundreds of scary titles from eras past and present, the Prime Video trove also manages to highlight films with lower budgets and less theatrical visibility. So if you want to make a cheap spooky flick with your pals, there’s a chance you could see the fruits of your labor on Prime Video someday.

That being said, there’s a lot of fodder to sort through to get to Prime Video’s really good horror movies, and it’s our job to do all the digging. We do our best to highlight horror films that were critically acclaimed, but we even try to throw a bone to the lesser-known pics that you shouldn’t miss.

If you have to watch one Hulu movie in June 2024, stream this one
Glen Hansard in Once.

When you think of movies on Hulu, it's easy to get swept up in the big franchise flicks. After all, how often are films like The Batman going to cross over from Warner Bros. to a Disney-owned platform? And compared to the sparse selection of films on Disney+, Hulu has a refreshingly large and diverse lineup of flicks to choose from. But if you can watch only one Hulu movie in June, then the film you should stream is Once.

Once is a romantic drama and a musical written and directed by John Carney on a shoestring budget. However, the story of the film was so irresistible that Once was one of the top indie hits of 2007 and an Oscar winner for Best Original Song. Most importantly, it's a love story that plays like a real story. And it doesn't necessarily go to the places where most romances tread.
