Save $220 on the 13-inch MacBook Pro at Amazon for Cyber Monday

13-inch MacBook Pro deal from Amazon for Cyber Monday 2020
Amazon/Apple Inc.

We’re right in the middle of Cyber Monday and those Cyber Monday deals just keep coming in. And on Amazon that’s especially true. So if you’re looking for a new MacBook Pro, chances are you’ll find a great discount among all those Amazon Cyber Monday deals. Just take a look at this one we just found:

a 13-inch Apple MacBook Pro

at a $220 discount.

A 15% discount is nothing to sneeze at when it means you can save $220. Marked down from $1,499, this 13-inch MacBook Pro only costs $1,279.

With this deal, you’re getting a MacBook Pro that has a quad-core, eighth-generation Intel Core i5 processor, a Retina display, a Touch Bar, Touch ID, a spacious 512GB of SSD storage, a backlit Magic keyboard, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, and 8GB of RAM. Though this MacBook Pro is on the smaller side at 13-inches, those who value portability may prefer that size and given the features we listed above, it’s not like they’re missing out on much. This MacBook Pro is also expected to provide up to 10 hours of battery life.

Digital Trends reviewed the 13-inch MacBook Pro and it received positive feedback about its display, its “thin and light design,” and of course its new Magic Keyboard, which we called “fantastic” and “a quiet, comfortable keyboard.” We found the battery life a bit disappointing, however, and we said at the time that you “can expect around 6 to 7 hours on a single charge.”

But maybe you’re not really into the 13-inch MacBook Pro. Not to worry, you have other options. Like

this deal from Best Buy: a 13.3-inch  MacBook Air

for just $850. And since it was marked down from $950, you’ll save $100 on this deal and get a MacBook Air that features a Retina display, a backlit Magic Keyboard, Touch ID, 8GB of RAM, a 10th-generation Intel Core i3 processor, 256GB of SSD storage, a Force Touch trackpad, and two Thunderbolt 3 ports. It’s also expected to have a battery life of up to 11 hours.

For Mac lovers, Best Buy has one of the best laptop deals at the moment with $150 off the MacBook Air M2. Usually priced at $999, you can buy it for $849 right now making it great value for anyone who wants to get involved with the Apple ecosystem without breaking the bank. Stylish and speedy, this is a laptop that will suit mostly everyone from students to people working from home or commuters. Here’s what you need to know before you hit the buy button. As always with such good deals, bear in mind that you could miss out if you wait too long.

Why you should buy the MacBook Air M2
One of the best laptop brands for reliability and being high quality, buying a MacBook Air is an investment that will last. While Windows-based laptops can lose their lustre over time, MacBooks tend to keep going for longer. While the MacBook Air M2 doesn’t have the latest Apple silicon -- the M3 -- it still offers fantastic performance. The M2 chip has an 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU and this model is still considered to be the best MacBook for everyone. This particular model comes with 8GB of memory and 256GB of SSD storage which is sufficient for all everyday tasks and saving documents easily.

Apple MacBook Air M1 open, on a table.

Apple deals are rarely particularly cheap but Walmart is continuing to sell the Apple MacBook Air M1 with 13.3-inch screen for just $699. It feels like stock must be starting to run low here so if you don’t want to miss out on one of the better laptop deals around, hit the buy button now before you miss out. Otherwise, here’s what the MacBook Air M1 has to offer.

Why you should buy the MacBook Air M1
The MacBook Air M1 isn’t considered one of the best laptops any more but just because its processor is a few years old doesn’t mean you should ignore it. MacBooks are typically built to last with support for macOS continuing for a number of years. With the MacBook Air M1, you get the M1 chip with an 8-core CPU which is sure to outperform Intel chips of the same era. The leap between Intel-based MacBooks to Apple silicon was pretty huge which is why the M1 chip remains highly potent.

Best Buy has a refurbished MacBook for $580, and it’s a good buy
Apple MacBook Air M1 open, on a table.

Typically, refurbished MacBook deals, or most refurbished laptop deals for that matter, aren't worth the cost. You can buy a brand-new system for about the same price, especially thanks to the best MacBook deals out there. But that's not the case with a deal Best Buy has available right now. You can get a Geek Squad Certified and refurbished MacBook Air, with an Intel 8th Gen Core i5,  for just $580 -- that saves you $320 off the usual $900 price. A newer model MacBook Air is going to cost you over $900, especially when you factor in taxes and shipping. This is the 2019 model, so while it is a few years old, you're still getting a laptop that can go the distance, as Apple's software updates usually keep older systems performing well.

Why you should buy this refurbished MacBook Air deal at Best Buy
Generally, we only recommend buying refurbished or renewed products straight from the manufacturer, but Best Buy's Geek Squad is the exception to that rule. That's because all refurbished and certified products go through rigorous testing, with detailing, sanitization, and cosmetic grading for the finished product done before they're put up for sale. In other words, they take their time to make sure they certify only good products in reasonable condition. Even if a bad egg slips by, they offer a 90-day warrant with extended warranty protection available -- if you're worried about extended coverage. Although extended warranties are available on an item-by-item basis, some may not qualify.
