NordicTrack Vault fitness mirror conveniently stores weights for workouts

NordicTrack redefined the treadmill with its iFit-enabled workouts that bring a virtual studio gym and outdoor adventures, such as a hike to Mount Kilimanjaro’s summit, to your home gym. Not to b overshadowed by CES 2021, NordicTrack latest venture will  take its iFit virtual training beyond its cardio roots and into weight training. The company’s new Vault smart mirror  lets you lift weights and tone your muscles alongside some of the best virtual trainers compiled by iFit.

NordicTrack’s Vault is aptly named. Not only does the fitness mirror help you exercise correctly, but it also stores custom training accessories. The Vault functions as a freestanding storage space where you can store kettlebells, weights, yoga blocks, and more. Unlike the Tonal and Mirror, you don’t have to mount it to a wall. The Vault has an extra-heavy base to keep it steady. It also comes with a safety strap and mounting hardware to secure it to your wall if you want that additional protection from tipping.

The training is provided by iFit trainers who lead a variety of workout series’ that you can follow. You can select a standalone training session or choose to pursue an entire series that’ll take you from point A to point B in your fitness. If you decide to follow a whole training program, each session builds upon the last as you work on a specific area like your core muscles.

Similar to other mirrored fitness devices, the key to Vault is its 24-inch by 60-inch pivoting reflective mirror and a 32-inch rotating smart HD touchscreen. This combination of display and mirror lets you watch your form as you workout alongside a trainer. You can receive feedback as you mimic the movements of the trainer on the screen. It’s as close to a personal trainer as you can from the comfort of your home.

NordicTrack is selling two versions of the Vault. Vault: Complete costs $2,999 and comes with a handful of accessories, including an exercise mat, yoga blocks, resistance bands, 5- to 30-pound dumbells, 20- and 30-pound kettlebells, and more. Nordictrack will also sell a less expensive Standalone version that includes only the Vault unit, which you then can fill with your own exercise equipment. Both Vault models are available now for pre-order and are expected to ship in mid-February.

Much like other connected home gym equipment, there is a subscription to it. Included with the purchase of the Vault is 1-year of iFit ($468 value) and after that, you can choose a specific subscription model that works for you. The options consist of a $396 per year family plan, a monthly plan for $39 per, a yearly individual plan for $180, or a monthly individual plan for $15 per.

This video doorbell can tell if the person on your doorstep has a fever
ettie video doorbell measures guests temperature ces 2021

In a time where health has become the primary focus for many people, it's easy to keep track of your own temperature and well-being. It's not so easy to ascertain the temperature of others. When you have someone coming to your door, whether a delivery driver or a visitor, it's important to know if they may have a fever. The Ettie Smart Video Doorbell has made waves at CES 2021 for its ability to obtain this information.

This CES 2021 Innovation Award Honoree uses an infrared temperature sensor to measure a visitor's body temperature and sends a warning if they are running a fever. It also has a capacity log to measure how many people are within a space. The Ettie Smart Video Doorbell can be used for residential purposes, but it's also a great way to manage the comings and goings at small businesses.

Lockly Duo smart lock conveniently unlocks knob and deadbolt with a single twist
lockly duo deadbolt doorknob smart lock ces 2021 2

A smart lock is often one of the first types of smart tech someone encounters, and for the past few years, CES has been a treasure trove of smart lock technology from a dozen different companies. This year is no different at CES 2021. One company that continues to deliver iterative smart locks is Lockly, the same company that wowed many last year (including us) with its smart lock and video doorbell combo, the Lockly Vision.

For this year's show, Lockly introduces the Duo, a two-in-one latch and deadbolt smart lock that combines both security features into a single, compact device. Lockly's patent-pending Dual-Locking Technology secures both the latch and deadbolt in a single motion; all you have to do is close the door and lift the latch upward. This solution is ideal for those who have a door with separate locks for their deadbolt and doorknob, so rather than unlocked each individually (with a different key in some instances), the Lockly Duo solves this problem by combining the two.

Roborock S7 robot vacuum erases tough, dry stains through sonic mopping
Roborock S7 robot vacuum cleaning a rug on a hardwood floor.

The new Roborock S7 robot vacuum offers new, powerful features that make it stand out from the rest of the Roborock lineup and seal its position as the brand's top-of-the-line model just in time for CES 2021. Following the success of its S6 MaxV last year, the Roborock S7 is unique because it leverages one of the fastest sonic mops on the market, which means it scrubs anywhere from 1,650 times per minute all the way to 3,000 times per minute.

This gives it the ability to disintegrate dirt and dried-on grime to provide a more thorough clean than any other mop on the market. It combines this with an intelligent lift technology powered through VibraRise that ensures the mop deactivates and lifts itself out of the way when carpets are detected.
