The new trailer for the game Halo: Reach, which is due out on September 1, has debuted on the Web and on Xbox Live. The trailer arrives just in time for the hotly anticipated multiplayer beta, which begins on May 3 and is expecting over 3 million players.
The storyline for Halo: Reach makes it a prequel to the main trilogy of games (as well as the side story of Halo: ODST). It focuses on the planet Reach, where Earth forces are fighting a losing battle against an overpowering enemy force. The counter assault is led by a handful of bio-augmented Spartan soldiers, of which gamers will play as a member. The video clip is an origin story of sorts for the leader of the Spartans on reach, Carter-259.
