The new expansion pack, called “Minerva’s Den,” will introduce a new protagonist, a new area of Rapture, and a new storyline that goes along with the BioShock 2 plot. Players will team up with Brigid Tenenbaum to fight off a tyrant that is controlling a section of Rapture.
Playing as a new character, you will explore the previously unseen “Rapture Central Computing,” wield new weapons, and find an original plasmid to defend against a never-before-seen Big Daddy lurking in the shadows.
“Minerva’s Den is a substantial addition that will give players more of what they’re looking for: more story, more narrative, more gameplay and more of Rapture,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K in the official press release. “The core team has created an exciting product that further enhances the mystery and allure of the world of Rapture. Minerva’s Den will be a fitting conclusion to the BioShock 2 saga.”
Developed by the team behind BioShock 2, 2K Marin, the expansion pack will be available on Xbox 360, PS3, and the PC, although no word yet on price or release date.
