New Captain America trailer leaks online

Behold the power of the intertubes. Entertainment Tonight had originally planned to release this trailer online this Thursday, but it somehow found its way to the hungry eyeballs of fans before that, and so naturally it was everywhere within minutes.

The trailer below is the first full length trailer for Captain America: The First Avenger, and is not to be confused with the teaser trailer released for the Super Bowl.

The film stars Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, the skinny kid that got sand kicked in his face before he was accepted into a military version of the Charles Atlas program.  After being embiggened, Rogers dons the uniform and shiled, then heads out to kick Ratzi ass in the form of Hydra, led by the Red Skull (Hugo Weaving).

Directed by Joe Johnston, look for Captain America: The First Avenger in theaters in 3D on July 22, 2011.

The best MCU sequels, ranked
Thanos about to close his gauntlet in Avengers: Infinity War.

Some say the sequels aren't as good as the original, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe has successfully produced many noteworthy sequels over the years.

Some of these follow-ups have even been labeled far superior to their predecessors due to how they expanded upon their characters, their conflicts, and overall story themes. Since the MCU shows no signs of slowing down, and with The Marvels shaping up to be a financial disaster, the studio should take note of what made these sequels the best in the franchise.
Honorable Mention: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

In 2011, Rise of the Planet of the Apes started a new chapter in the franchise by rebooting the film series and focusing on the story of the legendary ape leader Caesar. In 2017, War for the Planet of the Apes brought Caesar's story to a conclusion, but the reboot timeline lives on in next summer's Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. Generations have passed since the time of Caesar, and while the new movies haven't caught up with the time frame of the original movies yet, the first teaser trailer for Kingdom reveals that humanity is looking more and more like the savages they were in the first Planet of the Apes.
