Welcome to the world of tomorrow, well actually it’s the hotel of tomorrow — but it’s here today and a destination you should definitely check out the next time you’re in the Big Apple. Called Yotel — this futuristic hotel nestled in the heart of Manhattan is the collaborative effort of both Simon Woodroffe and Gerard Greene. The duo’s futuristic hotel hot spot embodies both a luxurious atmosphere and a minimalist approach. If you imagine what a hotel designed by Apple would look like you’re on the right track.
It’s not just the cool neon glow of the lobby and the aesthetically-pleasing design of the hotel and rooms that will impress you. Yotel offers guests an experience of luxury, fun, and comfort — with a wealth of amenities at a modest price. Rooms start around $460 a night for a Premium Cabin-Queen, and jumps to $630 a night for a First Cabin-King. Some of the First-Cabins even come with an outdoor terrace and hot tub, while all cabins feature moving beds, free Wi-Fi,, monsoon showers, and a ‘technowall’ which houses a TV, music controls and other power services to make your own little workstation. There is even a Yobot (an automated luggage bot) to help you upon check-in and check-out.
When you’re ready to leave simply head on over to the automated check-out and you’re on your way, and just in case you won’t be in NYC, Yotel has other (albeit scaled down) locations in both London’s Heathrow and Gatwick airports as well as Amsterdam’s Schipol.
