Gene Simmons teases KISS crossover with Angry Birds (No, seriously!)

We’ve seen KISS appear in a comic with Archie, so at this point, nothing should be a surprise — not even a mysterious project that will pair the glam-rock legends with Angry Birds.

Okay, so that last bit is a little surprising.

Speaking with Industry Gamers, KISS frontman Gene Simmons said the band — or rather, the brand in this case — not only has some plans in the works with Sony, but they’re also working with Angry Birds developers Rovio on something related to the hit game.

“Well, we’re talking with Sony games now,” said Simmons. “So while the gaming world is waiting for the KISS games that are going to explode, we’re busy taking the brand to places where no band has gone before. … We’re talking with Angry Birds, KISS and Angry Birds, which will become a deal.”

Asked about the last game he played, Simmons again brought up Angry Birds (because he’s nothing if not on message):

“The Angry Birds people were up here and we sat down and we played Angry Birds,” he said. “We blew some buildings apart, catapulted some of the birds, and then their eggs were stolen.”

And there you have it, folks: KISS and Angry Birds. The possibilities are… endless?

Ubisoft confirms Assassin’s Creed remakes are in the works
Basim perched on a ledge overlooking Baghdad

In a company interview with CEO Yves Guillemot posted on the Ubisoft website Thursday, the executive reveals that there are remakes of Assassin's Creed games in the works, although he doesn't specify which ones.

"There are worlds in some of our older Assassin's Creed games that are still extremely rich."

Surfaced patent shows what an Xbox streaming console would’ve looked like
An Xbox Series X sits next to both Series S models.

There have been a few Xbox devices that have never come to fruition, one of which was Keystone, a prototype for an affordable game streaming device you could hook up to your TV or monitor. Thanks to a surfaced patent, we've gotten an even closer look at what it would've potentially looked like.

The patent, first spotted by Windows Central, gives us a more complete view of the device. We've previously seen the Keystone in the flesh. Microsoft Gaming head Phil Spencer is known for hiding teases and interesting collectibles on the shelf in his office. In a 2022 X (formerly Twitter) post congratulating Bethesda on Fallout's 25th anniversary, you can see a small white device on the top shelf that's actually a Keystone prototype. Xbox told Digital Trends that it was a version of the device made before it decided to "refocus our efforts on a new approach.”
