How to buy a house in Starfield

Even though you will be spending the majority of your time in Starfield sitting in your ship or exploring the various planets across the universe, you won’t have a true place to call your own unless you buy a house. Unlike your ship or the room you’re given in Constellation, getting your own home lets you decorate, rest, and really just have a place to make your own. Getting a house isn’t mandatory, nor is it even that easy to do. You’ll need more than just a pocket full of Credits, so here are the ways you can get yourself a house in Starfield.

There are a couple of ways to get a house in Starfield, with the easiest to simply take the Dream Home trait when building your character. This will automatically give you a home after a quick quest, but it isn’t free. You will need to pay off a huge 125,000 Credit mortgage before it’s officially yours.

Most people will probably want to get a home on the main hub of New Atlantis, which requires you to become a UC citizen before you’re eligible to buy property. If you want to be a citizen, you will want to join the Vanguard and work for them to earn that status or have the United Colonies Native Background, then head to Aphelion Realty to buy a nice apartment in The Well for 30,000 Credits. Other houses can also be bought in other major cities like Neon for various amounts.

If you want the best home, which is also completely free, then simply work through the UC Vanguard questline to the end to be rewarded with a penthouse.

How to unlock all weapons in Hades 2
Hades 2 key art from its first trailer.

Hades 2's Melinoë is a very different main character from the first game's Zagreus in terms of personality and in how she fights. Being a witch, magic is core to her moveset, but she still wields all sorts of new weapons. You won't find the standard sword or spear here, as she starts off with just a witch's staff . You'll need to unlock the rest in traditional roguelike fashion. Each item requires you to gather up different materials, but most have some overlap so you will need to be selective about which one you craft first. We're still in the early access period, but for now, here are all the Nocturnal Arms in the game and how you can unlock them.
How to unlock every Nocturnal Arm
Ignoring the Witch's Staff, which you start with, there are four additional weapons to unlock.
Sister Blades
These fast, close-range melee daggers are the easiest to unlock and cost one Silver.
Umbral Flames
This is a medium-range weapon that prioritizes magic and fire attacks for three Silver and three Cinder.
Moonstone Axe
The heavy Moonstone Axe is your big, but slow damage dealer. It will cost you 15 Silver to pick up, so you will need to save up a bit.
Argent Skull
This si an explosive casting weapon that won't be available to unlock until you reach a certain point in the game that we won't spoil here. It will cost you two Glassrock and one Bronze to make.

The Elder Scrolls 6: release date speculation, rumors, news, and more
The Elder Scrolls

The Elder Scrolls 6 was first revealed over five years ago with a 36-second announcement trailer. Unfortunately, there hasn't been a lot of concrete news on the title since.

Now that Bethesda has launched Starfield — the developer's first brand-new IP in 25 years — with great success despite plenty of criticism on the game's advertised scale versus its gameplay, it goes without saying that the studio will be shifting to the next installment in the Elder Scrolls series. The new title will be building off the wild success of its predecessor Skyrim (which made the cut for Digital Trends' top 50 video games of all time) and MMO The Elder Scrolls Online.

3 things I want in Fallout 5 after watching Amazon’s Fallout series
Lucy enters a house in Fallout.

Fallout has been the watercooler TV show this month, an impressive feat for a video game adaptation. Although Bethesda doesn't have any new Fallout games to release alongside it, the Amazon Prime series has reinvigorated interest in Fallout, with all its titles seeing notable player count increases. For now, we’ll have to be content with a Fallout 4 current-gen upgrade, but I’ll admit that my mind is drifting to thinking about Fallout 5.

Bethesda’s Todd Howard has teased that Fallout 5 will be the next project Bethesda Game Studios works on after Elder Scrolls 6. While that likely means its release is at least a decade away unless Bethesda fast-tracks it, I still find it fun to theorize about where a true single-player Fallout 5 could go next. These three particular things are what I want to see the most.
