Twenty years after a nuclear war ravaged Moscow and its inhabitants, the broken city has become an ethereal dystopia full of natural and unnatural dangers. The remnants of Moscow’s population struggle to survive in the tunnels of Moscow’s Metro, as they fight for the few remaining resources.
In the latest screenshots for Metro: Last Light, 4A Games’ sequel to their cult hit Metro 2033, protagonist Artyom traverses Moscow’s surface to reach a station-city called “The Theatre” with a youth named Pavel.
We had a couple of chances to look at Last Light during E3 last year, and we were impressed. Metro doesn’t give players a lot of resources, and the shadowy world of Moscow in 2034 hides a lot of horror and danger, which gives the FPS something a bit unique.
Metro: Last Light won’t come out until 2013, but it will be out for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
