Sometimes it’s easier for collectors to take the Band-Aid approach when selling a collection, instead of listing items one-by-one. That’s the approach eBay seller kka20101 from Alameda, California seems to be taking taking. The seller’s most current auction, which ended on Friday afternoon, included over 1,000 cameras and related pieces that took 50 years to amass.

Other current auctions from the same seller include more modern cameras made in the past 10 or so years, some digital and others film.

Seller kka20101 described the auction as containing a “lifetime collection of vintage cameras” and that he has “been collecting it for 50 year [sic].” The collection is said to contain all brands and types of cameras including Canon, Nikon, Rollei, Yashica, Ricoh, Polaroid, Kodak, Fuji, Pentax, Petri, Pax, Mamiya, and more. Full cameras including SLR, RF, TLR, medium format, and point-and-shoot are accessorized by lenses, flashes, cases, parts, and other paraphernalia related to photography. A specific inventory was not given in the auction, however it was clear that the lot included numerous vintage cameras.

Another buyer might also have the patience to sell the items individually. Some of the cameras could be worth hundreds or thousands of dollars.

Even if you have no interest in collecting old cameras, the sight of all these historical cameras in one room is impressive, nonetheless. Check out PetaPixel for even more photos.
