Motorola Cliq Android Phone Landing at T-Mobile October 19

cliq-phone3Back in September Motorola showed off an upcoming phone based on Google’s Android platform: it was called the Cliq and featured MotoBlur, a communications solution that brought together email, messaging, social networks, photos, and more from a variety of sources right to a users’ home screen. Now, U.S. carrier T-Mobile will put the Cliq on pre-sale to existing customers beginning October 19, marking the first time a Motorola Android devices will be available to consumers. Everyday consumers who aren’t already T-Mobile customers will be able to set hands on the device beginning November 2.

“T-Mobile customers text message and access social messaging on mobile devices more than those of any other carrier,” said T-Mobile USA’s VP of brand marketing Wendy Pinero DePencier, in a statement. “That’s why we’re excited to give them the first opportunity to purchase the Cliq.

The Cliq’s MotoBlur solution combines email, social messaging services, photo services, text messages, and other items directly on the home screen, providing a one-stop base for all a user’s mobile communication needs. MotoBlur supports Facebook, Gmail, MySpace, Twitter, and a variety of email services, and users dont’ need to worry about launching and managing a small herd of applications to keep up with it all. In addition, the Cliq taps into Google services like Picassa and Google Maps.

The Cliq also features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 3.1-inch HVGA touchscreen display, a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with video capability, up to 32 GB of storage (via microSD memory; the phone ships with a 2 GB card), and offers integrated W-FI, assisted GPS, and T-Mobile 3G service.

Why you should buy the Moto G 5G
You won’t see the Moto G 5G on our look at the best Android phones as it’s pretty basic. At this price though, that’s hardly surprising. It has the essentials covered well. That’s helped by its 120Hz refresh rate which means you get smooth scrolling and no motion blur when watching videos or playing games. Alongside that are two large stereo speakers so you can be suitably entertained here. There’s also Dolby Atmos support to provide more immersive sound.
