Asus has been extremely busy at this year’s Computex, and its general focus seems to be locked firmly on the next-generation of displays. We’ve already seen the Taiwanese company unveil a 4K-capable tablet and two 4K resolution monitors. So obviously the next step would be to round out its trifecta of devices with a high-resolution all-in-one PC. The Asus ET2702 AiO is just what you’d expect given the company’s track record this year with Ultra HD. This impressive looking AiO features a sleek 27-inch IPS display with a max resolution of 2560 x 1440.
The design aesthetic for this AiO is rather simplistic upon first glance with an edge-to-edge glass setup placed precariously above a lengthy speaker bar. The keyboard and mouse are also artistically driven, once again boasting that simplistic design but accentuated with what appears to be brushed aluminum. Even the mouse itself is metallic-looking and it’s easily one of the cooler looking mice we have seen at this year’s event. Other unique additions include some white LED accent lights and a sturdy triangular aluminum base.
Engadget gave us a glimpse of the device, and although they claim to have only spent a few moments with it, they seemed impressed by the display’s ability to provide excellent viewing even under harsh lighting conditions.
U.S.-based customers will only have access to one configuration upon launch. The Asus ET2702 AiO includes a 2TB HDD, Core i7-4770 processor, 16GB of RAM, a 2GB AMD Radeon HD 8890A video card, Blu-ray drive, and 802.11ac wireless capability. The entire setup should be available sometime around late July or early August for a possible MSRP of $2,000.
