The new OptoShield OS3100 Laser Light Safety Scanner employs laser light to monitor motion within set safety zones. In dangerous workplaces where employees need to work in tandem with moving equipment, robot stations, or automated guided vehicles, the Laser Light Scanner avoids accidents by shutting down the machine when the human gets too close.
“We believe the introduction of the OptoShield represents an important product and underlying technology for STI in our quest to be a ‘one-stop’ supplier of automation safeguarding products and services,” said Joseph J. Lazzara, CEO of Scientific Technologies.
The OptoShield’s use of laser tech allows the user access to many more diagnostic features than is traditionally is available, such as telling you exactly where the zone has been encroached.
