Check out our review of the Motorola Moto G smartphone.

While U.S. smartphones fans can pop out and buy a Motorola Moto X, anyone living outside America doesn’t have the same option. The Google-owned company has been notoriously slow at launching its products internationally, and the Moto X is no different. However, judging by a teaser published on Motorola’s Twitter account, its approach to the rest of the world is about to change.

The tweet says, “Time to say hola, ola, g’day, hallo, bonjour, namaste, hello to Moto G.” A picture shows a stylized planet Earth and the Motorola logo over the top, with a recommendation for us to save November 13 as a day to remember in our diaries. Head over to the linked moto-g.com website and you get the option to sign-up for more information on a live streamed launch event for the Moto G.

As Motorola’s promo tweet is hardly subtle, we can deduce the Moto G will be coming on November 13, and, at the very least judging by the greetings, it’ll probably launch in Spain, Portugal (or Brazil), Australia, Germany, France, India, and the UK. But what about the Moto G itself, do we know anything about it?

Well, not from Motorola, but there have been some timely leaks over the past few days. According to an @evleaks tweet, it’s a smartphone with a 4.7-inch screen and a 720p resolution, a quad-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor, and an 8-megapixel camera. Coming via an anonymous tip, the source says the Moto G should be free on contract.

This speculation differs from another Moto G leak, this time supposedly straight from the pages of a UK retailer’s Christmas brochure. Here, the Moto G is said to have a 4.5-inch display with a 720p resolution, while the processor will still be quad-core, but with a 1.2GHz clock speed. The camera may also drop to 5-megapixels. Also listed is 8GB of storage space, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, and a water repellent coating on the phone’s body. A super cheap, off-contract price tag of £135 ($215) could be attached to the phone.

So, while there’s some confusion over the Moto G’s spec sheet, there’s no such doubt over its arrival date. We’ll bring you all the news on the day.
