High-end audio and home theater gear-maker NAD Electronics has decided to make friends with the iPod generation, announcing the availability of an iPod Dock which works with its T785, T775, and T555 AV receivers and the T175 preamp-tuner-processor by way of a custom Dock Port.
The iPod dock features RCA stereo outputs (gold plated!) and offers an S-Video output for viewing stored video content on a bigger-screen system. The dock charges the iPod’s battery, and enables users to control the iPod via their NAD remote; NAD says users will be “pleasantly surprised” how good their iPod sounds through a high-performance NAD system.
The iPod Dock works with fourth- and fifth-generation iPods, plus the iPod nano, Photo, Video, and mini. (iPod shuffles aren’t supported.) The dock is available now for $199.
