A new survey (PDF) of 1,200 U.S consumers conducted by Solutions Research Group during September 2007 finds that high-definition television sets and Windows-based notebook computers top consumers’ wish lists for the upcoming end-of-year holiday season. Fully 35 percent of respondents indicated they wanted a flat-screen high-definition television set, while 20 percent indicated wishes for a Windows-based notebook computer was fueling their sugar plum-fueled desires. The top-ranked branded electronic device on the list was the Nintendo Wii (coming in at #8 with a 9 percent score), followed by the Sony PlayStation 3 (#9 at six percent). High-definition disc players—either Blu-ray or HD DVD—came in number 10, with 6 percent of respondents saying the units were on their wish lists.
