Dash Express GPS Available for Pre-Order

Dash Express GPS Available for Pre-Order

Dash Navigation has opened up pre-orders for its Dash Express automotive GPS system. What sets the Dash Express apart from other vehicle-based GPS systems is that it builds in two-way Internet connectivity via Wi-Fi and GPRS networks, enabling a new set of capabilities not normally seen in GPS systems. For one thing, users can create routes and send them to their GPS wirelessly fro any Web browser. But, perhaps more intriguingly, it collects real-time traffic information from the Dash Driver Network, which includes anonymous polling of other Dash Express devices, and can calculate new routes as traffic flow information changes. Information from Dash Network can include data on sides streets and local roads, rather than just monitoring traffic on main thoroughfares and arterials.

Physically, the Dash Express features a 4.3-inch, 480 by 272-pixel widescreen display with touchscreen capability, a two-hour battery live from its built-in lithium-ion battery.

Dash is in the final phases of testing its current hardware, and plans to have units in consumers’ hands by February 2008. The Dash Express itself is priced at $599; in addition to the up-front cost, the Dash’s unique features require a Dash service plan, which are currently priced at $12.99 a month, or $10.99 a month for a year’s worth of service, or $9.99 a month for two years’ service. Dash will not charge the credit cards of customers participating in the pre-order program until orders actually ship from Dash in February.

Best Buy has a surprisingly great Galaxy S24 pre-order deal
Samsung galaxy S24 Ultra display.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 line of smartphones have been unveiled, and you can preorder them until January 30. They look fantastic so far, but they certainly aren't cheap. In fact, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is Samsung's most expensive non-folding smartphone. Thankfully there are a lot of phone deals out there that will save you a lot of cash on your upgrade. All the major carriers have trade-in deals. But what if you want an unlocked phone? Best Buy has your back. Right now Best Buy is offering up to $870 trade-in when you buy the S24 series. They'll also double your storage and give you a Best Buy gift card of up to $150.

Why you should buy the Samsung Galaxy S24 at Best Buy
The S24s are the newest release in Samsung's Galaxy line, but there are more reasons to upgrade than just having the newest model. The S24 and S24 Plus are slightly bigger than their S23 counterparts; both are a bit taller. The Ultra has stayed the same size. There are some standard upgrades, like a higher maximum brightness and a slightly different user interface.

How to pre-order the OnePlus 10T
Holding the OnePlus 10T in front of a green plant.

The OnePlus 10T, OnePlus' performance flagship for 2022, is here. Following weeks of endless leaks and rumors, OnePlus formally announced the phone on August 3. It did so in big fashion, hosting an extravagant launch event in New York City -- OnePlus's first in-person gathering in over two years. The big change this year, of course, is support for AT&T's 5G networks, which has now been turned on. You can't buy your OnePlus 10T directly from AT&T, but if you're looking to put your existing SIM in your new phone, rest assured that it'll work.

But while the OnePlus 10T was unveiled at the start of August, pre-orders didn't open until September 1. So that meant you had to wait. Thankfully, that waiting period is now over. Unfortunately, it does mean the start of a whole new waiting period since the phone won't be finally available until September 29. OnePlus is really making us wait for this phone, so just try not to get impatient.
