DLO HomeDock HD Upscales iPod Video

Peripheral and accessory maker Digital Lifestyle Outfitters—better known as DLO—as introduced another variation on its HomeDock line of iPod docking stations, the HomeDock HD. Designed to connect any dock-compatible iPod with an high-definition television, the HomeDock HD will upscale iPod video to 720p or 1080i resolution for improved display on the big screen, and offers users both HDMI video output and digital audio output for pumping iPod media through a home entertainment or theater system.

The HomeDock HD includes a new wireless remove that enables users to control their iPod from up to 100 feet away using an on-TV interface that even displays iPod album art!. The dock also offers both S-Video and RCA connections for connecting iPods to non-HD televisions and standard analog sound systems. And, of course, the HomeDock HD charges your iPod while docked.

DLO expects to ship the HomeDock HD in the second quarter of 2008 for a suggested price of $249.99.
