Anyone who’s ever tried lugging around a notebook computer knows it’s not always easy. Sure, there are specially-designed bags designed to offer the pinnacle of protection for your computing investment, as well as quick access and ways to handle all those cables, peripherals, and add-ons you always seem to need. Now Built NY wants to streamline that problem with its new Laptop Backpacks, which offer a breathable, ultra-slim way to carry around your notebook computer and accessories without looking like you’re a new Army recruit lugging a rucksack to basic training.
Except that maybe you’ll look like you’re wearing half a suit of body armor. Maybe the "Homeland Security look" is in this season?
The Laptop Backpack is available in two sizes (medium and large) and hugs the body to provide a slim, comfortable tote—Built NY says the backpacks should accommodate most people, and a front sternum strap helps tailor the bag to an individual’s shape. The bag offers space for a notebook computer as well as books, folders, and other items in the main compartment, and two smaller storage compartments handle add-ons and peripherals. One of the small compartments is on the shoulder strap for easy access without having to remove the bag. The bags are made from lightweight neoprene and breathable mesh, are water resistant, and can be machine washed: just pop the bag in the laundry and let it drip dry.
The Laptop Backpacks are available in two color schemes—black with powder blue and olive with evergreen—and should be available now for $80.
