Polk Audio, a company known for putting out quality performance audio equipment, recently announced a more general lifestyle audio product line called Polk Audio Designs. One of the first items to be released under this new brand is the MiDock10.
The Polk Audio MiDock10 is a portable iPod speaker system which comes in a black finish and measures 6”x 16”x4”. It can be powered by either eight C batteries or an included 12v power adapter. The MiDock 10 is capable of charging any dockable iPod which is slid into one of three included docking cradle adapters. It can also connect to a computer through the iPod’s USB cable so one can update their docked iPod’s content through iTunes.

As far as audio features go, the Polk Audio MiDock10 sports two 3.25-inch full range drivers which are vented through a side-firing flared port for better output and bass response. This portable iPod speaker system also has a built-in headphone jack so one can have more of a private audio experience as well as offering up an auxiliary input for connecting other music sources such as a portable CD player.
In addition to having portable power via the C batteries, the MiDock10 provides a few other portability features to make on-the-go enjoyment of your iPod possible. Stylish side handles on each end of the speaker system provide for a better grasp as you carry your financial investment around. An included credit-card sized remote control also provides you control of both the MiDock10 as well as your iPod.
More information on the Polk Audio MiDock10, which is priced at around $150 and available now, can be found at Polk Audio’s Web site.
