Japan’s Jump magazine has shared the first details of Final Fantasy Explorers, an upcoming multiplayer action-RPG from Square Enix that’s coming to 3DS (via Siliconera). In Explorers, one to four players assume a variety of jobs (basically, character classes) from the series’ storied history to collaboratively hunt for crystals and battle summons. Multiplayer is enabled both through the 3DS’s local wireless and conventional Wi-Fi.

The game features a variety of familiar jobs, weapons, monsters, and summons, a handful of which have been revealed. Players can definitely expect to see Black/White Mage, Monk, and Knight jobs, and the Ifrit summon. Expect to see plenty more; we’d be willing to guess that chocobos, Shiva, Bahamut, and the mighty Masamune all make appearances as well.

Rather than a single narrative that follows the style of the core series, Explorers features a flexible quest system reminiscent of Capcom’s Monster Hunter games or Square’s own previous Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles spin-off.

Final Fantasy Explorers is currently in development; there’s no release date, nor is there any word on whether or not that game will be released outside of Japan.

This article contains story spoilers for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

Ahead of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth's launch, fans were buzzing about how the sequel would tackle Aerith's story. The holy healer was a major focus of Square Enix's marketing, making it clear that one of gaming's most iconic moments would be pivotal to the adventure. But for me, I was more curious about how another tragedy would play out: the tale of Barret and Dyne.

Cactaur Caper

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is overflowing with fun ways to interact with its world, many of which are minigames that task you with completing challenging objectives or winning games. One of the more laid-back of these minigames is Cactuar Capers, which you'll have to complete when trying to earn some beachwear in Costa Del Sol. This scavenger hunt will send you to take photos of pink Cactuars that have been painted on various objects around the town. In this guide, we'll tell you how Cactuar Capers works and where to find all of the pink Cactuars so you can get to the beach in style.
All Cactuar Capers locations
There are four pink Cactuars to find in Costa Del Sol during the Cactuar Capers scavenger hunt, and they're scattered throughout the town in various spots — with some more cleverly hidden than others. You'll need to find all four of them to complete Cactuar Capers, which can be a bit of a hassle since all you have in your possession to help with that is a map that gives you general locations.

Luckily, the Shinra executive you're teamed up with will be nearby each of the pink Cactuars commenting on how they must be in that area somewhere. This will help you discern where to look, though our photos further down below will show you precisely where the pink Cactuars are hiding.

To complete this mission at its highest tier and earn its best rewards, you'll need to round up eight Refurbishment Materials left near ziplines in the area, so check below for their locations.
Where to find all the zipline Refurbishment Materials
The two Johnnys will send you on a mission to find eight Refurbishment Materials scattered across the Corel Region near ziplines. However, it's worth noting that all these materials are found exclusively at the top of the ziplines, never at the bottom, meaning you'll need to keep an eye out above you to find them all. Luckily, we've got a map below showing you the location of each of these zipline starting points, and you can find the Refurbishment Materials in plain sight next to them.
