Curse of Naxxramas, the first single-player adventure for Blizzard’s Warcraft-themed digital card game Hearthstone, is aiming for a July release, according to a post from Blizzard community manager Aratil on the Battle.net forums. Aratil also mentioned that pricing details for the expansion are coming next week, on July 1.
The expansion, like the World of Warcraft raid that inspired it, will comprise five wings guarded by A.I. bosses with unique powers heretofore unseen in the game. Conquering each wing unlocks a powerful new legendary card for use in your decks, such as the necromancer Kel’Thuzad, who resurrects fallen minions. Your adventure through the Necropolis will be steeped in Warcraft lore, going back to events, locations, and characters first introduced in Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne.
Curse of Naxxramas is expected to arrive next month simultaneously on Mac/Windows and iPad.
