As the October 28 release date for Assassin’s Creed: Unity approaches, Ubisoft wants to remind you of what’s in store and has unveiled a new promotional clip for the game. Four parkour experts — a nod to the new four-way co-op play mode — take on the roles of the Assassins, chasing down two French guards through the streets of present-day Paris.
The parkour runners involved are Ronnie Shalvis and the French Freerun Family and if you’re eagerly awaiting the next instalment in the Assassin’s Creed series then you’ll get a kick watching them run, jump and climb their way around some of the French capital’s most well-known landmarks. The clip was made by filmmaker Devin Graham, who has made Assassin’s Creed-themed clips in the past, and sponsored by Ubisoft.
The behind-the-scenes clip is worth a look too if you want to see the team getting in trouble with the French police, scaring tourists and getting slowed down by flocks of birds. The release of the video has been timed to coincide with the Comic-Con event in San Diego, where as usual there’s a flurry of promotional activity around the biggest and best video games in the pipeline. Microsoft has already used the opportunity of Comic-Con to show off its upcoming Halo 2: Anniversary title.

Set during the French Revolution at the end of the 18th century, the game challenges players to use all of their wits and combat abilities to take down the foes that come across their path. As Ubisoft releases more information about the game — and hopefully more in the way of actual gameplay — we’ll keep you updated.
