Great deal: AT&T will give you the LG G Pad 7.0 for $1 if you buy a G3

AT&T is giving tablets away. Starting on August 8, the carrier will throw in a LG G Pad 7.0 tablet for just $1 when you buy a LG G3, G Flex, or G2 smartphone. AT&T will also offer the 7-inch G Pad on its own for a cheap, monthly installment.

If you don’t want to plunk down a hefty sum on a new LG smartphone, you can simply pay $12.50 a month for the tablet. AT&T also gives you the option to pay $150 upfront with a two-year contract. Of course, data costs are separate. Whichever option you choose, it’s not a bad deal for the 7-inch tablet.

We recently reviewed both the LG G Pad 7.0 and the G Pad 10.1. After much testing, we found that the two new G Pads offer decent performance for mid-range tablets at a low price. The G Pad 7.0 is particularly nice for reading ebooks, email, or articles online.

Even though the screen is small and the resolution isn’t super high, you can stream videos on it in a pinch. LG also gave the small G Pad dual window mode, which lets you have two apps open at he same time. It’s a lightweight, sturdy little tablet that will satisfy bookworms and those who love small, portable tablets.

If you’ve thought about buying the LG G3 (we highly recommend it), you might as well throw the 7-inch G Pad in for good measure. For those of you who are considering the other two LG smartphones AT&T included in this promotion, the G2 also comes highly recommended as a midrange phone and the G Flex is decent, but gimmicky.

Where do I even start with the Nokia 3210? Not the original, which was one of the coolest phones to own back in a time when Star Wars: Episode 1 -- The Phantom Menace wasn’t even a thing, but the latest 2024 reissue that has come along to save us all from digital overload, the horror of social media, and the endless distraction that is the modern smartphone.
