Famed photographer Annie Leibovitz has partnered with art book publisher Taschen to create a tome that features photographs spanning her entire career – and it’s huge (part of Taschen’s aptly named SUMO collection). Measuring 19.7 x 27.2 inches, the 476-page is so big and heavy that it’ll come with a special bookstand designed by Marc Newson.

Leibovitz had been curating this book with Taschen for many years. The book’s photographs covers more than 40 years of Leibovitz’s work, ranging from historical moments like President Richard Nixon’s departure from the White House after his resignation in 1974, to celebrity portraits like that of Lady Gaga in 2011. Much of her work graced the covers and pages of the likes of Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, and Vogue, as well as in advertisements. “In between are portraits that make up a family album of our time: actors, dancers, comedians, musicians, artists, writers, performance artists, journalists, athletes, businesspeople. Performance and power are recurring themes. A supplementary book contains essays by Annie Leibovitz, Graydon Carter, Hans Ulrich Obrist, and Paul Roth and short texts describing the subjects of each of the over 250 photographs,” according to Taschen.

Starting at $2,500, 9,000 Collector’s Edition copies will be available, in four different dust jackets featuring Whoopi Goldberg, Keith Haring, David Byrne, or Patti Smith. It’s expensive, but for Leibovitz admirers who can afford more, a $5,000 Art Edition gets you a signed copy and all four dust jackets; only 1,000 Art Edition copies will be printed. Whichever edition you get, the book comes with a custom tripod bookstand created by famed industrial designer Newson – the stand might be worth the money alone. (Newson recently designed a limited edition Leica camera with Apple design chief, Jony Ive.)
