Fans of Disney Infinity that own the first version of the game will be able to download the revamped Toy Box 2.0 as a standalone download on November 4, 2014, making their game compatible with all the upcoming 2.0 play sets without needing to buy a new starter pack. The new Toy Box will allow players to use all of their existing figures and power discs from the first edition with the new content. The goal is to allow players maximum, à la carte freedom in using exactly the content they want without redundant purchases.
Toy Box 2.0 will be available on November 4 on the PlayStation Network, Xbox Store, and Nintendo eShop for $30 (or $20 for a limited time on PSN and Nintendo). North American fans will also receive a free bonus of both Disney Toy Box Game Discs: Stitch’s Tropical Rescue and Brave Forest Siege.
Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes is set to launch in late September for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, Wii U, and iOS.
