Microsoft’s live action, episodic series Halo: Nightfall will premiere on November 11 along with the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection as part of HaloFest 2014. The first episode will be broadcast as part of the HaloFest livestream along with a first look at the Halo 5 Guardians multiplayer beta.

Halo: Nightfall is a five-episode series produced by Ridley Scott which covers events between  Halo 4 and Halo 5. It follows Mike Colter as Jameson Locke, the leader of an elite squadron of operatives for Oni. Locke will be a major character in the upcoming Halo 5 Guardians, making this one of the most high-profile efforts yet to integrate games and conventional narrative media directly.

From November 8 through 11 the livestream will broadcast an invitational tournament to celebrate the launch of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Some of the top eSports pros will go head-t0-head in the Halo 2: Anniversary multiplayer for $50,000 and a chance to play in the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta.

The competition and all of the other HaloFest events will be streamed via Twitch.
