Check out Rocksteady’s return to Gotham with this edited gameplay trailer of the upcoming Batman: Arkham Knight. In it Batman is infiltrating the heavily defended Ace Chemicals plant in order to rescue hostages and learn about Scarecrow’s nefarious plot. The video also features a brief encounter with the eponymous Arkham Knight, a mysterious evil counterpart to Batman.

The action features everything you’ve come to know and love in the Arkham games: cool tools, bone-crunching brawling, tactical infiltration, gliding around the night sky (is it ever daytime in Gotham?). It also shows off the newly amped-up Batmobile, which plays a much more prominent role than in previous games. Watch Batman get behind the wheel to jump across a blown bridge then squeal around drift turns while gunning down defense turrets.

Batman: Arkham Knight comes to PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One on June 2, 2015.

Gotham Knights Knighthood guide: how to unlock the glider and other traversal abilities
Batgirl gliding in Gotham Knights.

For instance, Batgirl can glide, while Robin utilizes a teleporting device created by Justice League technology.

But how exactly does Knighthood work and what do you need to do to unlock the new traversal abilities? Here's what you need to know.

Gotham Knights resurrects Arkham Knight’s massive stuttering problems
gotham knights preview harley quinn missions

Gotham Knights isn't off to a good start, especially on PC. After the developer announced the game would be locked to 30 frames per second (fps) on console with no performance mode, I immediately saw visions of the infamous Arkham Knight PC port -- and my worst fears were confirmed.

Although Gotham Knights isn't as disastrous on PC as Arkham Knight was at launch, the game still has serious performance issues. It's demanding without much of a visual payoff, but the real issue comes down to how much the game stutters regardless of the hardware you're using.
