CD Projekt Red’s latest look at The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt came during the 2014 Game Awards, and it included a little surprise. As one of the devs from CDPR noted before the trailer ran: Geralt of Rivia isn’t the only playable character in the upcoming game, and the night’s new 82-second tease revealed this other playable character.
Can you spot him… or her? It’s probably her. Geralt dialogue makes reference to Ciri and her “Elder blood” — “Elder Blood” is also the trailer’s title — and a few of the gameplay flashes feature a white-haired woman doing magical things. There’s also a brief glimpse of a dark-haired woman wielding two staves, right as a female voice plays over the clip, mentioning how “you were there” and “only you and I truly know what all of us will soon face.”
Then there’s also a large, armored brute wielding a nasty-looking sword, and he doesn’t look like he’s a big fan of Geralt’s. It’s probably not him. But you never know. Who do you think it is? (Our money’s on Staff Lady, if anyone cares)
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt comes to PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One on February 24, 2015.
