Up until now, Sprint would cut your AT&T and Verizon bills in half if you switched over to its network. There were a few catches we noticed, but it’s clear Sprint was done playing third fiddle to the two biggest carriers in the U.S. Now, the troubled carrier announced it would reimburse all your costs, including cancellation fees, if you switch over.

Here’s how it works:

  • Bring your number from any other carrier and show evidence of an early termination fee or phone payment balance.
  • Activate a device on Sprint Easy Pay, iPhone for Life Plan, Sprint Lease, or buy a phone outright.
  • Fill out the online registration form and upload a bill with all the charges listed that you want reimbursed within 60 days of activation.
  • You’ll have to turn in your old phone from the other carrier, and it must be in working order. Sprint will send you a prepaid return kit in the mail.
  • An American Express Reward Card will head your way with all the reimbursements after online registration.

The reimbursement should arrive roughly 15 days after you complete online registration. Unfortunately, as explained above, you’ll need to submit the phone you used on your other carrier. Given how the promotion works, prepaid customers would not be able to take advantage of the deal.

Sprint did not reveal whether this promotion is time-sensitive, so you might want to take advantage of it earlier rather than later, if you’re interested.
