The new Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF7 is a perfect example, and fortunately this Micro Four Thirds interchangeable lens camera provides good performance to go with its retro style. The GF7 has the requisite old-school dials and buttons on top of its small Leica-ish black and brushed metal body, but the 3-inch LCD on back keeps it up to date and can even flips up for getting that perfect selfie.
The GF7 also shoots 1080p Full HD video and you can upload your best shots to your smartphone using the built-in Wi-Fi; you can also use a smartphone for remote control of the camera.
Not bad for a pocketable shooter that includes a 12-32mm lens for an MSRP of $600. Of course, it can be found for less – much less – from a variety of reputable online sellers, making it an even better deal.
