International pop superstar Adele has announced her first major tour in five years. Called Adele Live, it will be a 56-show North American outing that begins in July and ends in mid-November of 2015. The tour will hit major stadiums across the United States, including Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, LA’s Staples Center, and New York’s Madison Square Garden.

The North American string of shows will follow the soul singer’s sold out European tour, which begins in February 2016.

Currently the biggest thing in popular music, Adele has sold over 5 million copies of her latest record, 25, since its November release. The songstress, who captures audiences with her soulful vocals and heart-wrenching lyrics, will ride the wave of that massive album throughout next year.

Known for her more subdued stage presence, all-black outfits, and highly involved live band, Adele’s live shows will likely feel like a bigger-stage version of her various live music videos. As far as what exactly her live gigs will entail, the singer will probably have a more subdued stadium presence than the glitter and fanfare of similarly-massive pop star Taylor Swift’s recent 1989 World Tour — without multiple outfit changes, special guest performances from celebrity friends, and various other big-publicity glamour.

In fact, it’s reasonably shocking that the singer will take so many big stages in the first place. Long known to be crowd-averse, Adele has been open about her struggles with playing to massive audiences.

In an interview with the New York Times, she said, “Performing to that many people for every night, for that long, I find something very lonely about it,” she said. “Which sounds weird, because you’re performing for like, 20,000 people every night, but you leave on your own. You don’t go home and, like, share a bed with 20,000 people and have a little pajama party and watch movies. Obviously I’m going to have my friends with me and I’m going to have my family with me, but the thought of how lonely that could be frightens me more than the load of doing a worldwide tour.”

Tickets for the Adele’s North American tour go on sale Thursday. A full list of dates — and complete information about how to purchase tickets — can be found on the singer’s website.
