If you happen to be in London and have a little extra time during this holiday shopping season, you might want to check out the OnePlus Scavenger Hunt this weekend for a chance to win a limited-edition OnePlus X Ceramic phone.

This isn’t your normal scavenger hunt in which you search for the grand prize. Instead, OnePlus has chosen a few landmarks, and is asking you to find one of them through the Moovit app, a leading apps for navigating public transportation. You then take a selfie in front of any one of the landmarks for a chance to win the phone.

The company sees this as a great way for users to meet other OnePlus fans, plus all participants will receive an invite to purchase the OnePlus X. Twenty of those invites will be for the OnePlus X Ceramic.

The contest kicks off this Saturday, December 19, at 10 am GMT. You will need to download the Moovit app and look for one of the listed landmarks on the map throughout London. They will look something like this:

You can then use the Moovit app to get step-by-step instructions to visit any landmark you choose.

After that, it’s as simple as taking a selfie in front of the landmark and sharing it via Twitter or Instagram. Posts need to be public, and make sure to use the #XHuntLondon hashtag and mention @OnePlus and @Moovit on Twitter or @OnePlusTech and @Moovit on Instagram.

Finally, you will need to fill out this form and include a link to your social media post and a correct email address. This email address is where you will receive your OnePlus X invite.

You have until 8 pm GMT on December 19 to share your selfie and fill out the form.

OnePlus will pick one lucky winner from all the entries for the limited-edition OnePlus X Ceramic, and twenty other winners for a OnePlus X Ceramic invite. All other entries will receive a OnePlus X invite.

Click here to download the Moovit app.

Good luck!

Six months later, is the OnePlus Open still worth it? I found out
OnePlus Open in hand.

Though the smartphone market is at an all-time peak, foldables are still a very niche part of it. Still, for those who want a foldable, there are quite a few options to pick from, including the OnePlus Open.

The OnePlus Open is the first foldable from OnePlus, and it’s technically the “global” version of the Oppo Find N3 with some changes in color options and software. When we first reviewed the OnePlus Open, it was clear that it was one of the best foldables you can buy.

How this surprise OnePlus feature changed my smartphone photos forever
A person holding the OnePlus 12.

I don’t usually mess around with Pro modes in smartphone camera apps much. I’m not a “pro,” so they rarely seem relevant, and the combination of an effective auto mode and a great editing platform usually means I end up with a photo I’m pleased with anyway.

But that all changed when I tried Master Mode on the OnePlus 12. Yes, it’s a Pro mode in disguise, but it has an unusual and quite specific feature set that has helped me create photos I love and furthered my own photographic style far more than most other phones I’ve used recently.

The OnePlus 12R is still one of 2024’s best smartphone deals
OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition in hand.

OnePlus is still quite new to me, as I was a lifelong iPhone user until I joined Digital Trends. However, OnePlus has a pretty solid reputation in the mobile world, and now I can see why, as the OnePlus 12 is one of my favorite smartphones that I’ve used so far this year.

But the OnePlus 12 isn’t the only phone that OnePlus launched in 2024. There is also the more affordable value option, the OnePlus 12R, which even comes in a cool Genshin Impact Edition.
