Eagles of Death Metal to resume European tour after Bataclan concert attack

“We are proud to announce that our rescheduled European tour — now called ‘The Nos Amis Tour’ — will begin on February 13th,” wrote the band on its Facebook page. “And we cannot wait to see your beautiful faces.”

A more detailed announcement came on the band’s official website, providing specifics for fans who had purchased tickets to previously scheduled shows. Those who were at the ill-fated Bataclan show, for example, will be able to claim a free ticket to the band’s February 16 stop in Paris. (With the venue still closed, the show will take place at the Olympia Theatre). For those who had purchased tickets that were refunded in the aftermath of the Paris attacks, there will be a special pre-sale window in which they may repurchase tickets.

Continuing the tour was important to the band. “Not returning to finish our set was never an option,” said EODM co-founder and frontman Jesse Hughes in a statement. “We look forward to coming back in February and continuing our mission to bring rock ‘n’ roll to the world.”

The band has already returned to Paris once since the attacks, joining Irish band U2 onstage to perform and participate in what they called the “healing power of rock ‘n roll.” In addition to their February 16 concert, EODM will play two other shows in France. The Nos Amis Tour will include 21 stops spanning 14 countries.
