Have mercy! Cast of Fuller House talks reuniting in new behind-the-scenes featurette

Fan enthusiasm for Fuller House leading up to the show’s premiere has been impressive, to say the least, and Netflix has wisely continued to feed it. The streaming service released a featurette Tuesday that goes behind the scenes with the stars of the highly anticipated series, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, and Andrea Barbara, plus their former Full House co-stars.

In yet another poignant video, the cast talks about reuniting nearly 30 years after the original family sitcom premiered. Having worked together for Full House‘s eight-season run, the group had become like family, so the reunion was apparently an extremely positive experience for all. “Looking around the room, seeing all of those wonderful faces that I love, was a moment that you get maybe once or twice in life,” says Dave Coulier (Uncle Joey) in the featurette.

The audience can expect more than just familiar faces when the Full House sequel series premieres. “Fuller House carries the same emotional, loving, family tone through the show that the original did,” says Cameron Bure (D.J.) in the video. Sweetin (Stephanie) also highlights the similarities to Full House‘s plot, calling it “the reverse” of the new series’ premise.

Like Full HouseFuller House focuses on a recently widowed parent who gets help from family and friends. In the case of the upcoming series, D.J. will have lost her husband, so her sister Stephanie and childhood friend Kimmy (Barber) will move in with her and her three sons. The three women and their offspring (Kimmy has a daughter) will be the focus of the new show, but their extended family will stop by in the first episode. Fans can expect to see Uncle Joey, Uncle Jesse (John Stamos), Danny (Bob Saget), and Aunt Becky (Lori Loughlin) welcome the girls home.

The first season of Fuller House will be available on Netflix on February 26.

3 underrated (HBO) Max movies you should watch this weekend (June 28-30)
A girl looks at a boy in House at the End of the Street.

June is surprisingly over, and with it, a great month for movies comes to a satisfactory close. You've probably watched Inside Out 2 or Bad Boys: Ride or Die or maybe even The Bikeriders. From blockbusters to indie fare, the theatrical movie business has been robust and healthy.

The same goes for streaming. Netflix had a big hit with Richard Linklater's Hit Man, while Amazon Prime Video recently premiered the latest bonkers season of The Boys. HBO and Max have been quieter, but their robust library speaks volumes to the streamer's high quality. The following three films are older, but are just as worth your time as new hits like House of the Dragon season 2.

The best Netflix original series right now
Eric and Benedict Cumberbatch in Eric.

The era of Peak TV was also Peak Netflix, because the streamer seemingly had an endless supply of new original series. So far in 2024, that hasn't been the case. Whether we'll ever get the same level of content again seems unlikely for now. But even in a reduced capacity, Netflix still has a few new additions to its lineup of originals.

For the month of June, we're adding the '80s-set thriller, Eric, which stars Benedict Cumbebatch. Our other pick for the month is Supacell, which is Netflix's new British series that remixes some old superhero archetypes. That's not a very big selection for fans who always want something new, but this roundup of the best Netflix original series really does have all of the top options in one place for you. All you have to do is scroll down and make time to binge watch some shows.
