Your Periscope feed is about to get a brand new dose of perspective. Earlier this week, Twitter’s video streaming service added DJI drone support, which means that you can now natively connect the app to your quadcopter and live broadcast this footage to the world. The move comes shortly after Periscope added GoPro support, and is just another method the service is using to keep content interesting.

Thanks to the app’s latest update, you’ll be able to go between your smartphone camera and a DJI drone’s camera, so you’re always showing your followers the most exciting aspect of your life. And if you want to leave a comment on your video, the app update allows you to draw directly on the videos, à la Snapchat.

In a Medium blog post announcing the new drone integration, Periscope wrote, “We’re launching broadcast search and drone support to help people form communities around the topics they care about and broadcast from new perspectives.” Now, as you broadcast from a drone, “You can narrate from a bird’s eye view using your phone or even Sketch on the broadcast to highlight different sights,” the post continues.

In addition to its new drone feature, Periscope has also made updates to its search function. Whereas previously, you’d have to manually navigate around a map to see newsworthy footage, users can now more easily locate live streams and trending topics. As the Persicope team wrote, “When you tap on the search button in the Global List, you’ll see a list of suggested topics to search for, including #Travel, #Music, #Food and more. To broadcast about a topic, simply tap the Broadcast button in the topic’s search results to add the relevant hashtag, or add the hashtag to your title directly.”

Periscope’s latest app update is available from the App Store, so if you’ve got some sweet drone footage you’re just dying to share, the time is now.
