HP debuts touch-screen sales system for retail

HP introduced a touch-enabled point-of-sale (POS) system for busy retailers seeking to cost-effectively manage their businesses. The HP ap5000 All-in-One POS System features a self-contained combination of products, a compact space-saving design, and it requires only one power outlet. Hp says this compact system will maximize your work space and sports a stylish design. The new system includes a central processing unit, touch-enabled display, magnetic stripe reader and either a two-line customer display or a 10.4-inch LCD customer display to enhance promotional activities.

“Addressing customer preferences, HP has expanded its retail store portfolio with an all-in-one solution that provides increased flexibility and results for a variety of business market segments,” said Ray Carlin, vice president, Retail Store Solutions Global Business Unit, HP. “As the retail market recovers from economic hard times, HP has developed a broad retail product portfolio to best meet changing customer needs.”

Pricing for the HP ap5000 All-in-One POS System is available through HP partners and the system is expected to be available worldwide in late March.

There's no doubt that Apple's MacBook Pro 16 is one of the best laptops you can buy today. It's incredibly well built, offers plenty of power to go with the best efficiency, and its display, keyboard, and touchpad are superior.

But, it's also incredibly expensive. That's where a laptop like HP's Envy 16 2023 comes in. It's also quite fast and well-built, with a gorgeous display option. And it's a lot less expensive. Can it topple Apple's mighty MacBook Pro?

HP’s new Envy x360 14 looks like a killer value for what you get

HP's Envy line is an interesting mix of midrange pricing and premium design. It sits between the budget-oriented Pavilion and the ultra-premium Spectre, offering some of the best attributes of both. This year's upgrades introduced to the Envy x360 convertible 2-in-1 lineup include a very affordable Envy x360 14 and an Envy x360 15.6 that offers the first IMAX-certified multimedia experience.

Starting at just $850, the Envy x360 14 might be the most interesting of the three new machines, which also include the Envy x360 17.3. Its combination of design, components, and likely build quality make it a compelling budget option. And media consumers will appreciate the upgraded experience offered by the Envy x360 15.6.
