2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat: 204 mph for $64,990

You’d think owning the world’s most powerful production sedan would require forfeiture of your firstborn child, but not when that sedan is a Dodge Charger.

Chrysler released pricing for the entire 2015 Dodge Charger lineup including the supercharged HEMI V8 Hellcat, which starts at an attainable $64,990, including destination and gas guzzler tax.

That price buys a sedan that’s faster than anything wearing a three-pointed star or a flying “B.”

The Charger SRT Hellcat’s 6.2-liter V8 produces the same 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque it does in the two-door Challenger Hellcat. That’s enough to launch the Charger to a top speed of 204 mph, and allow for 11-second quarter-mile passes.

If your tire budget can’t accommodate that, Dodge will also offered a 2015 Charger SRT 392. Based on the 2014 Charger SRT, it features a 6.4-liter HEMI good for 485 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque, all for $48,380.

At the bottom of the HEMI food chain is the Charger R/T model. Its 5.7-liter V8 produces a respectable 370 hp and 395 lb-ft. Base price is $33,990, which Dodge says is lowest price for a V8 sedan this year. Road and Track and Scat Pack options can liven things up from there.

Base Charger SE ($28,990) and SXT ($30,990) models get a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and the 292 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque it provides. All-wheel drive is available on the SXT; all other models stick with rear-wheel drive.

All 2015 Charger models get a variety of improvements and changes, including revised styling, the latest version of Chrysler’s Uconnect infotainment system, and an upgraded interior featuring a new steering wheel, electronic shifter, and TFT gauge cluster.

The 2015 Dodge Charger will hit showrooms before the end of the year, except for the Hellcat, which begins production in early 2015.
