An order guide mistakenly published online by an Audi dealer in the United Kingdom has confirmed a hotter version of the potent RS 6 Avant (pictured) is in the works. Although the leaked order guide was quickly taken down, GTSpirit managed to save key information by grabbing a screen shot of it.
Dubbed RS 6 Avant Plus, Audi’s upcoming uber-wagon will be powered by an evolution of the stock RS 6’s twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter TFSI V8 engine tuned to generate 600 horsepower, 40 more than when bolted under the hood of the RS 6. Power will be sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed tiptronic transmission that the driver will be able to manually shift using steering wheel-mounted paddles.
The eight-cylinder mill will allow the RS 6 Avant Plus to rocket from 0 to 62 mph in under 3.9 seconds before reaching an Autobahn-worthy top speed of over 190 mph. The wagon will get noticeably upgraded brakes on all four corners and a stiffer suspension setup in order to cope with the prodigious amount of power, while aerodynamic add-ons likely crafted out of carbon fiber will create the downforce required to keep all four wheels on the ground at high speeds.
The Audi RS 6 Avant Plus is expected to break cover in the coming weeks. Unfortunately for American families in a hurry, the four ring brand’s latest hot-rodded wagon will not be sold on these shores.
