“This 560-horsepower 911 Turbo S sure is nice, but I just wish it was a bit faster,” said no one ever.
Porsche’s boosted 911 is lauded by many for its bone-crushing acceleration, hardcore handling, and overwhelming drive experience, but German tuner Techart is taking it one step further.
The company has released information detailing its TA 091/T1 and TA 091/T1.1 power kits, which are available for the 911 Turbo and the 911 Turbo S, respectively. These powerful Germans make 520 hp/523 pound-feet and 560 hp/553 lb-ft from the factory, so adding more speed to the mix is clearly dangerous, terrifying, and flat out awesome.
The added power comes from an all-new engine management system, which is activated simply by pushing the ‘Sport’ button the vehicle’s center console. On both models, pushing said button increases horsepower by 60 and torque by 95 lb-ft. This allows for the sprint to 60 mph to come in just 2.9 seconds in the Turbo (.1 faster than before) and 2.8 seconds in the Turbo S (.1 faster than before).
More impressive, though, are the improvements in top end acceleration. With Techart’s enhancements, the all-wheel drive Turbo can reach 124 mph from a standstill in just 9.8 seconds, and its top speed has improved from 196 mph to 202 mph. The Turbo S? It’ll hit 204 mph flat out if the driver is gutsy enough.

A stainless steel exhaust system is available as well, but it does more to adjust the Porsche’s soundtrack than its performance. It features a unique silencer and two valves that can be adjusted on the fly, giving drivers the ability to operate in stealthy civilian mode or test the sensitivity on their neighbor’s car alarm. Techart hasn’t stopped at performance, as a slew of interior and exterior upgrades are an option too. Inside, there are custom steering wheels available (yes, there are several) ans well as sport pedals, seats, stitching, and upgraded dashboard instruments.
On the exterior, there’s a trick aero kit that includes new vents, spoilers, diffusers, and side mirrors. There’s even a button-operated ‘Noselift’ function that will raise the front of the car by 65 mm in case of pesky speed bumps.
But let’s be honest, where you’re going, there won’t be any.
