BFG Deimos X-10 Notebook Offers Dual GPUs, 18.4-inch Display

Some people want a notebook computer for portability…but for others, portability is secondary to raw computing and gaming power. Those folks might want to take a look at the new Deimos X-10 notebook computer from BFG Technologies, which offers all the bells and whistles of a high-powered desktop gaming rig in a form factor that doesn’t quite require a hand truck to move from place to place. Although the Deimos X-10 does ship with its own backpack for moving it around.

“The Deimos X-10 SLI notebook is perfect for gamers and media enthusiasts who demand desktop performance but prefer the portability of a notebook,” said BFG’s senior marketing director John Malley, in a statement. “Deimos X-10 comes fully locked and loaded to deliver the ultimate HD mobile gaming and multimedia experience.”

So what can computing enthusiasts expect to lug in that backpack? The X-10 can be configured with either Intel Core 2 Duo, Quad, or Extreme CPUs, handles up to 8 GB of RAM, and offers three HDD drive bays for up to 1.5 TB of onboard storage. The X-10 features a 18.4-inch TFT LCD display with a native 1,920 by 1,080 resolution and can be configured to pack dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 280M 1GB graphics cards with SLI technology.

Looking for ports? The X10 has an eSATA and IEEE 1394 port, DVi and HDMI output, S/PDIF and line in for audio, a TV tuner, gigabit Ethernet, a 7-in-1 media card reader, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless networking, and four USB 2.0 ports. The units also feature a 3D stereo enhanced sound system, a built-in mic, five integrated speakers, and a 2 megapixel webcam.

Naturally, all this hardware doesn’t com cheap: pre-order pricing starts at $1,859, although customers who order before October 30 will receive a 10 percent discount.

How to set an ‘Out of Office’ message in Microsoft Teams

Many people use Microsoft Teams regularly to communicate with colleagues both inside of the office and remotely. It is considered one of the most efficient ways to ensure you can stay in contact with the people on your team, but what if you need to let people know you’re not readily available? Microsoft Teams has a method for you to set up an "Out of Office" status for your profile to let staff members know when you’ll be gone for the afternoon, for several days on vacation, or for an extended period.
Where do I go to set up my ‘Out of Office’ status for Teams?
It is important to note that your Microsoft Teams and Outlook calendars are synced. This includes your out-of-office status and automatic replies. So, whatever you set up in Microsoft Teams will reflect in Outlook. Similarly, you can set up your out-of-office status in Outlook, and it will be reflected in Teams; however, the former has a more straightforward instruction.

First, you can click on your profile icon in Teams and go directly to Schedule an out of office, as a shortcut. This will take you to the settings area where you can proceed. You can also click the three-dot icon next to your profile icon, then go to Settings > General, then scroll down to the bottom of the page. There, you'll find out-of-office settings and click Schedule.
