Computer maker Dell has introduced new members of its Vostro line of business notebook computers, including the 13-inch Vostro 3300, the 14-inch Vostro 3400, and the 17-inch Vostro 3700—which can come with an Intel Core i7 Quad Core processor.
“Vostro products are designed for small businesses helping them stretch their budget and protect their data, and come with dedicated small business services and support to keep a small businesses moving,” said Dell Consumer, Small, and Medium Business senior VP Alex Gruzen, in a statement.
The 13-inch Vostro 3300 sports an Intel Core i5 processor and boasts and internal optical drive while still keeping its slim figure: Dell says it’s the thinnest commercial 13-inch notebook with an integrated optical drive. The Vostro 3400 steps up to a 14-inch screen and will be able to to offer up to 8 hours of use with an optional 9-cell battery, the Vostro 3500 offers a 15.6-inch display (with a high-def display option), and the mammoth Vostro 3700 will sport a 17-inch display and will be available with an Intel Core i7 Quad Core processor as an option—otherwise, it’s Core i3 and i5 processors across the line.
All the new Vostro systems support up to 6 GB of DDR3 RAM, come with 802.11g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless networking (plus have WWAN options), and all ship with Windows 7. All the systems also offer discrete graphics options, with the Vostro 3700 stepping up to 1GB of Nvidia GeForce discrete graphics and an optional high-definition WLED display.
The new Vostros are available in North America and Asia starting today in silver, red, and bronze, with launches in Europe and Latin America starting March 16. Dell also backs the Vostro line with specialized small business support via DellConnect—prices start at $579.
