Laptops are HP’s bread and butter, so it’s only natural that the HP spring sale features a bundle of them (as well as a few of the biggest discounts). Whether you’re looking for a beefy desktop replacement or a compact 2-in-1 hybrid laptop, the HP spring sale has you covered:

  • HP Pavilion 15t laptop – $580 ($420 off): The Pavilion series has been HP’s flagship line of Windows PCs since 1995. This modern 15.6-inch Pavilion laptop packs an 8th-gen Intel Core i7 CPU along with 8GB of RAM and a 1TB HDD, and along with the latest hardware, you also get a handy touch display.
  • HP Envy 17t laptop – $800 ($250 off): Laptops with 17-inch displays like the HP Envy 17t are suitable as desktop replacements while still being reasonably portable. The Envy 17t features a 17.3-inch Full HD screen along with an 8th-gen Intel i7 CPU, 8GB of RAM, an Nvidia MX150 graphics card (the rough equivalent of the GTX 1030, which is solid for casual gaming), and a 1TB HDD.
  • HP Spectre x360 13t 2-in-1 laptop – $1,000 ($150 off): The HP Spectre x360 13t is one of our favorite 2-in-1 laptops, scoring a perfect ten in our hands-on review owing to its great build quality, superb battery life, ergonomic keyboard, and vibrant 13-inch touch display which can be folded back for use like a tablet.
  • HP Envy x360 15t 2-in-1 laptop – $1,070 ($230 off): Another great hybrid laptop from HP is the Envy x360 15t, which is a bit bigger than the 13t and a good choice for those looking for a more traditionally sized laptop. It has a lot of the same great things we love about the Spectre, including its 2-in-1 form factor, plus a dedicated GeForce MX150 GPU that makes it suitable for casual gaming, video editing, and other graphics-focused tasks.

HP Desktop PC deals

Although laptops are great for portability, desktops are still the best choice for serious work and gaming stations thanks to their bigger screens, nicer keyboards, and dedicated mice. The HP spring sale has a handful of great deals on desktop computers, too, from all-in-one PCs to towers:

  • HP Pavilion 590-p0025z desktop tower – $530 ($150 off): The Pavilion series got its start with desktop computers, and this tower PC captures the no-frills, no-nonsense, wallet-friendly ethos of the line: It packs an AMD Ryzen 5 2400G four-core CPU, 8GB of RAM, a 1TB HDD for plenty of storage space, and a Radeon RX 550 dedicated graphics card for light gaming.
  • HP 24-f0014 All-in-One PC – $630 ($100 off): All-in-one PCs are hugely convenient, giving you literally everything you need out of the box – right down to the mouse and keyboard. This affordable HP desktop packs an 8th-gen i3 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 1TB HDD, and since its 23.8-inch 1080p display doubles as a touchscreen, it truly can be called an “all in one” machine.
  • HP Pavilion 27-xa0055st All-in-One PC – $1,280 ($320 off): The Pavilion lineup features some all-in-one desktop PCs, too, and this one boasts impressive specs: An 8th-generation Intel Core i7 CPU, 16GB of RAM, and Nvidia GeForce MX130 dedicated GPU deliver what you need for work and play, while its large 27-inch Quad HD touch display offers plenty of screen real estate for multi-tasking and entertainment.
  • HP Omen 880-160se desktop gaming PC – $1,470 ($500 off): Gaming is one of the most popular applications for desktop computers, and we’d be remiss if we didn’t include the beefy Omen PC. The latest Intel Core i7-8700 CPU, 8GB of Ram, and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 GPU with 8GB of dedicated VRAM make this a solid gaming platform (and the sweet aesthetics don’t hurt, either).

HP Printer Deals and More

The HP spring sale features a smorgasbord of laptop and desktop PC deals, but there are also a few juicy discounts on printers as well as a couple other cool items like a beefy curved monitor (perfect for your gaming battle station):

  • HP OfficeJet 3830 All-in-One printer – $50 ($50 off): Printers aren’t as exciting as laptops and gaming PCs, but they’re vital for any home office. Thankfully, you don’t have to spend a fortune on one, and the OfficeJet 3830 is an affordable all-in-one printer, scanner, and copier that’s perfect for users with basic printing needs. It’s even got Wi-Fi connectivity for remote printing, which is a nice feature at this price point.
  • HP LaserJet Pro M402n printer – $190 ($80 off): Laser printers like the HP LaserJet Pro are better, faster (this one can print up to 40 pages per minute), and more cost-effective than traditional inkjet models if you’re doing high-volume black-and-white document printing. This model can also print in color if you need to, unlike many laserjet printers which are monochrome-only.
  • HP Omen X by 35 curved monitor – $950 ($350 off): Curved displays take in-game immersion to the next level, and the Omen X monitor would be a great companion to the Omen gaming desktop. This 35-inch curved gaming monitor boasts an impressive 21:9 extra-wide Quad HD resolution of 3,440 x 1,440 pixels, and Nvidia G-Sync all but eliminates annoying stuttering and screen-tearing.
  • HP Z2 Mini G4 portable workstation – $852.50 ($522.50 off): For a desktop PC you can take on the go, the HP Z2 Mini G4 is surprisingly powerful despite its small size. It runs on the latest 8th-generation i3 CPU and 4GB of RAM, and at 8.5 by 8.5 inches, it’s great for taking your work anywhere or for cutting down on office clutter.

The best 17-inch laptop deals from HP, LG, Razer, and more
An HP Omen 17 laptop on a desk.

There aren't a ton of 17-inch laptops on the market, mostly because most folks tend to prefer the portability of something smaller, and with the rise of 16-inch laptops, that seems to be the best middle ground for a lot of folks. That said, larger screens are always great, and luckily, there are still quite a few great laptops you can have at that size from some of the best laptop brands on the market to boot. Even better, there are some great deals you can have that will let you snag one for a pretty low price if you just need something basic.

To that end, we've gone out and found some of our favorite 17-inch laptop deals out there, including HP laptop deals, Dell laptop deals (and Dell XPS laptop deals), and gaming laptop deals.

This HP 17-inch laptop is reduced to $270 for Memorial Day weekend
A woman video chats with her friends on an HP Envy laptop.

There are a lot of excellent laptop brands on the market running early Memorial Day deals, and if you want to snag yourself a 17-inch laptop without paying an arm and a leg, then HP has the solution for you. It's not often you find 17-inch laptops on the market because they tend to be bulky, but for those who love larger screens, something like the HP Laptop 17z is perfect because it's large and won't break the bank. While it usually goes for $560, HP has discounted it quite heavily down to just $270, saving you a whopping $290 in the process.

Why you should buy the HP Laptop 17z
If you don't need a laptop for any sort of heavy lifting and just want something basic for streaming and productivity tasks, then the AMD Athlon Gold 7220U that the HP Laptop 17z comes with should be more than enough. That said, it is worth considering the upgrade to the AMD Ryzen 3 7320U for $100, which will certainly eat into the $290 discount, but it will also give you a better quality of life and some versatility. Unfortunately, there is no way to upgrade the 8GB of RAM that it comes with, but even so, it should be enough for most folks to have a relatively smooth experience, especially if you keep on top of your open tabs and apps.
