Custom PC builder iBuypower has worked over its Gamer line of rigs two offer two new options, both powered by AMD’s Dragon platform and priced under $1,500. The Gamer HAF 91B and Gamer Fire both leverage AMD Phenom II quad-core processors and ATI Radeon 4000 series GPUs, with a handful of premium hardware choices setting them apart.
The cheaper HAF 91B uses the same HAF case as the iBuypower’s other HAF line, and get loaded with Phenom II 920 processor, 4GB of DDR2-800 memory, and a Radeon HD 4850.
The Gamer Fire introduces the more angular NZXT Guardian 921 case, the faster 940 model processor, and the top-shelf Radeon HD 4870X2 video card, which offers 2GB of on-board RAM instead of 512MB. It also comes outfitted with a more capable 800W power supply, a Blu-ray drive, and liquid cooling for the CPU.
The company has priced the HAF 91B at $999, and the Gamer Fire at $1,439. Both are available immediately at iBuypower.
