You’ll rarely hear people complaining about the size of existing USB flash drives – a remarkably compact form factor was one of their selling points right from the start – but Imation just wasn’t able to resist using the latest technology to shrink them down just a little further. The company’s new Nano flash drive, unveiled Wednesday, takes the place as the company’s smallest swivel-cap drive yet, at just 1.75 inches long.
Besides the Nano’s stubby length, it’s also just 10mm thick and 15mm wide, impressive dimensions for even a flash drive. Weight has also been cut to less than an ounce, furthering chances that you’ll forget it’s even in your pocket. And of course, Imation loves to point out that a swivel cap means there’s no loose cap to lose, and its 360 degree rotation ensures that it won’t get in the way when plugging the drive into cramped spaces.
The Nano flash drive is available now in 1GB, 2GB, 4GB and 8GB capacities, with prices ranging from $14.99 to $89.99.
